New telephony solution at UiO
The landline telephone service at UiO is based on services provided by SIKT. SIKT is currently working on a new tender for telephony in the sector and, upon entering a new telephony agreement, intends to discontinue the service that allows operation and maintenance of the current landline telephony system at UiO.
The current landline telephony solution will therefore likely be discontinued from the end of November 2025.
Work is underway on a new telephony solution at UiO that will address all needs currently covered by landline telephony, such as phones at the workplace, intercoms, call queues, and more.
More information will be provided when the University Director has decided which telephony solution UiO will choose.
